Updates on Spokane Valley snow plowing and deicing activities are now available through Twitter.

The popular social media platform makes it easier for community members to get real-time SnowInfo updates on their mobile devices.

Twitter users can follow the city of Spokane Valley's Twitter feed at www.twitter.com/CityofSV. You do not need to have a Twitter account to read tweets (messages) posted by the city.
Tweets can also be seen on the city's website News page at spokanevalley.org/news.

Items shared on Twitter are currently limited to official messages posted by the city of Spokane Valley, including SnowInfo updates and critical information in the event of an emergency such as the 2015 Windstorm. It's anticipated that the use of Twitter will expand in the future to include other city topics.

The designation means the Spokane Valley News Herald will publish the city's legal notices on a contract basis for one year.
