Vote for 2017 Movies in the Park

The public is asked for assistance in selecting three of movies to show at the 2017 Movies in the Park at Mirabeau.

There are 10 movies to choose from this year, including five water movies, one of which will be shown on a special aquatic-themed movie night.

To vote, go to spokanevalley.org/MoviesInThePark and choose the "Click Here to Vote" link. You will be asked to vote for your first and second choices from the first list below as well as one favorite movie from the water-themed list that follows:

“The Jungle Book” (PG)
“Kubo and the Two Strings” (PG)
“The Angry Bird Movie” (PG)
“Sing” (PG)
“The Secret Life of Pets” (PG)
Water-themed movies:
“Surf's Up” (PG)
“Finding Nemo” (PG)
“Little Mermaid” (PG)
“Finding Dory” (PG)
“Free Willy” (PG)

If you prefer, you can cast your vote by email at jpapich@spokanevalley.org. Or, if you don't have access to the internet, you can also vote over the phone by calling 720-5408 during regular office hours.

Voting starts now so be sure to tell your family and friends so they can vote, too. The winning movies will be announced in the Spokane Valley Parks and Recreation Spring/Summer Recreation Guide, which will be released in spring of 2017.

Remember to mark your calendars now because these free events will occur on Friday, July 14; Friday, July 28; and Friday, Aug. 11.
