Spokane County officials have announced launch of a newly redesigned Web site at spokanecounty.org.
The seven-month redesign process was led by CivicPlus, a national Web site development and hosting firm that specialized in local government Web sites.
The new Web site has radically enhanced functionality and was purposefully designed to make it much easier for citizens to access and utilize county services via the Internet.
Users should be advised that Google and other search engines might still contain links that point to old locations on the prior site. In time, these will be corrected. If you arrive at the Web site with a “cannot be found” message, simply browse from there to find the information you’re seeking.
According to County CEO Gerry Gemmill, the new Web site was a collaborative effort aligned to the county’s strategic plan.
“We had an exceptional project manager from our parks, recreation and golf department, John Bottelli, who led a team of public and private sector professionals in redesigning the website with our citizens in mind. We appreciate the time and effort that was put in by the team and also to the many departmental liaisons and employees who assisted with the design and content,” Gemmill said.
