The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce has announced the hiring of the new president and CEO, Katherine Morgan.
"After an extensive search and selection process we are excited to bring Katherine to the Valley chamber. She brings a new energy level, passion and a vision to make the Greater Spokane Valley one of the best places to live and work in America,” said Barry Baker, chairman of the board.
Morgan was raised here in the Northwest and is a graduate of Gonzaga University. After spending time in the Midwest, she came back to the Spokane Valley.

With her very extensive association and marketing experience combined with her energy, Morgan said she is enthusiastic to meet current as well as potential chamber members.
Jeff Adams, CEO of Horizon Credit Union noted, “Katherine is easily approachable and brings a great deal of energy to her leadership role.”
Although Morgan officially starts Sept, 15 in her new role, she is already attending many events and meetings throughout the Spokane Valley.
A social event is being planned to welcome Morgan, chamber officials say.
"I am honored to join the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce and look forward to working with a passionate staff, a board of visionaries, and a strong membership to manifest the vibrancy of our community to the region and beyond,” Morgan said. “Together, we plan to promote the greater Spokane Valley as a prime community to live, work and play."
