Sprague Avenue construction continues

By MIKE HUFFMAN
Managing Editor

Crews are working over the next several weeks to resurface the roadway and upgrade signals, sidewalks and stormwater drainage improvements along the Sprague Avenue commercial area east of Havana to Vista.
While the work is under way, drivers may want to consider using alternative routes or allowing a little extra time if they're traveling through the work area.
Sprague Avenue westbound from Thierman Road to the Interstate 90 overpass also remains reduced to two lanes around the clock through early July for resurfacing, stormwater drainage improvements, and sidewalk work.
Sprague Avenue westbound between Vista and Park will be reduced to two lanes around the clock from June 19 through June 27 for pavement work.
More information on traffic impacts for this and other city of Spokane Valley road improvement projects can be found on the City's website at www.spokanevalley.org/trafficalert. Recorded traffic alerts are also available by calling 720-5311.
