Share input on Yardley stormwater project

Managing Editor

Join city of Spokane Valley staff and engineers to learn more and share thoughts about the Southeast Yardley Project, anticipated for construction over a six-week period in summer of 2014. The meeting will be held at the Rodeway Inn, 6309 E Broadway Ave., from 6 until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 23. This construction project affects the area of Yardley bounded by Fancher, Broadway, and I-90. The project will improve stormwater drainage to avoid areas of standing water in roadways and stormwater drainage pipes will be installed to direct stormwater to a new swale. This swale will be installed at the south end of Eastern, adjacent to the existing WSDOT stormwater swale. Asphalt patching will also be conducted. The meeting is open to everyone and will have an open house format with project coordinator Ryan Brodwater on hand to take input and answer questions. If unable to attend, e-mail cbranch@spokanevalley.org or call 720-5411 to be added to the project interest list. For more information on the project contact, Ryan Brodwater at rbrodwater@spokanevalley.org or 720-5013.
