Darrell Cole, pastor, was presented a Key to the City at Tuesday's meeting of the Spokane Valley City Council.
Cole was honored for organizing members of the local clergy who make the invocations at the beginning of each City Council meeting. He has been making those arrangements since the city incorporated in 2003.
"Pastor Cole has a pleasant attitude and is always gracious with his time," noted the individual who nominated him for the honor.
Cole is the senior pastor at Spokane Valley Wesleyan Church and has been a part of the Spokane Valley community since before its incorporation. Cole is the final honoree under the city's year-long Community Recognition program celebrating Spokane Valley's 10th anniversary of incorporation.
On behalf of the citizens of Spokane Valley, Mayor Tom Towey and the Spokane Valley City Council said they would like to congratulate all the honorees
