An armed robbery at the Spokane Valley Mall on Friday night resulted in the evacuation of the nearby movie theater.
No one was injured, said Deputy Craig Chamberlin, police spokesman, however the suspect is still at large.
Spokane Valley Police responded to a robbery call at Tilt Tilt arcade located in the mall. Police contacted the employee who told them at about 10 p.m. he was closing the business when a white male -- wearing a dark hoodie, blue jeans, in his late 20s to early 30s -- pointed either a rifle or shotgun at his chest and demanded money. The employee said the suspect had a white kerchief over his face and left in an unknown direction of travel.
Police evacuated the neighboring movie theater for safety purposes but were not able to locate the suspect. The suspect resembled the description of the suspect from a robbery at Zip Trip on Trent earlier this week, Chamberlin said.
