Graduation ceremonies set for weekend

The 1912-13 academic year is drawing to close, with most high schools in the Spokane Valley area holding their commencement exercises this weekend.
If you’ve got a favorite senior about to join the rest of the cap-and-gown set, here’s the rundown:
Central Valley High School – Commencement will be Saturday, June 8, at 11 a.m. at the McCarthey Athletic Center at Gonzaga University.
East Valley High School – Commencement on Monday, June 10, at 8 p.m. at the downtown INB Performing Arts Center.
Freeman High School – Commencement on Saturday, June 8, at 1 p.m. in the high school gymnasium, 14626 S. Jackson Road, Rockford.
Oaks Classical Christian Academy – Commencement will be held today (Friday) at 7 p.m. at Valley Fourth Memorial Church, 2303 S. Bowdish Road.
RiverCity Leadership Academy – Commencement on Tuesday, June 11, at noon at the Mirabeau Meadows in Spokane Valley.
University High School – Commencement will be Saturday, June 8, at 3 p.m. at the McCarthey Athletic Center at Gonzaga University.
West Valley High School – Commencement on Sunday, June 9, at 4 p.m. at the downtown INB Performing Arts Center.
A few schools have already held their graduation ceremonies. Commencement exercises for Contract Based Education were held on June 6 at New Life Assembly of God Church. Barker High School’s commandment was also Thursday at ONE Church in Spokane Valley. And Spokane Valley High School’s was on Tuesday at Spokane Community College’s Lair Auditorium. Finally, Valley Christian School’s seniors received their diplomas on June 1 at Valley Real Life Church.
