The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce will have its 10th annual Gem of the Valley awards event on Jan. 26th with the theme “Dining with the Stars.”
Chamber members and others from the community will gather at the Mirabeau Park Hotel to honor the Harry E. Nelson Citizen of the Year. Selected by an awards committee of past recipients and board members, this year’s awardee is longtime Spokane Valley resident and leader William H. Gothmann.
In addition, Awards of Excellence will be given to an Entrepreneur of the Year, two tiers of Business of the Year, as well as a non-profit organization that has demonstrated exceptional leadership, initiative, and success in their day-to-day business operations. New this year are awards for Educators of the Year. Recognition also will be given to an individual who has provided outstanding support in 2012 to the Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The Mirabeau Park Hotel staff is preparing a gourmet menu. The gala will get underway with a social hour and silent auction. As the program begins and dinner is served, videos of the Awards of Excellence finalists at their business locations will be shown before the winners are announced.
The gala is an outstanding opportunity to market your company while having a wonderful evening with your friends and associates at a VIP reserved table for only $600. With a wonderful gourmet meal, honoring your peers, and celebrating excellence in our community – what a fantastic way to kick off 2013.
Individual reservations are available for $55 per person. Online reservations are preferred at spokanevalleychamber.org. Reservations can also be made at the chamber office, located at 1421 North Meadowwood Lane, Liberty Lake, WA, or by calling the chamber office at 924-4994.
Without the generous support of many sponsors, this annual awards gala would not be possible. The Greater Spokane Valley Chamber of Commerce would like to show their appreciation and recognize Diamond Sponsor Numerica Credit Union. Sapphire Sponsors include Avista, Banner Bank, Modern Electric Water Co. and Spokane International Airport. The Emerald Sponsors are Greenstone Corporation and Providence Health Care.
